TARA holds Spay Neuter Clinics in Pomona

Being a dog person, as compared to being a cat person, I was unaware of the services provided by T.A.R.A. (The Animal Rights Alliance).  They have a mobile van that performs low cost spay/neuter surgeries at various locations. Upcoming visits in Rockland County are at 2 locations in Pomona: The Hudson Valley Humane Society and Hi Tor Animal Care and Control.

The procedures are performed by a licensed veterinarian with vet techs in assistance.  

The objective is to reduce the number of stray, abandoned, unwanted, and homeless cats from coming into a system that cannot deal with the sheer numbers of them. Rather than reduce the population via euthanasia, T.A.R.A. has chosen to deal with the problem by preventing the birth of unwanted kittens.
