It is wonderful news that, after nearly a month being closed, River Rd under the Tappan Zee Bridge has reopened!

It reopened Friday afternoon, November 3rd, following completion of the demolition project that made way for the new bridge's second span connection to the NYS Thruway in Rockland County.

The busy road at the South Nyack-Grand View-on-Hudson border had been closed since Oct.10, which necessitated detouring cars, buses, pedestrians and bicyclists onto local roads and Route 9W.

Looking forward to when the new bridge span is fully connected and all traffic in the area returns to "normal," whatever that is!
