National Association of Realtors and Hudson Gateway MLS June 2017 Update

According to NAR and HGMLS statistics…

  • There are 196 million active listings nationwide, this is down 8.4% from last year and 10294 active listing locally, down 17.3%.

Despite the fact that listing are down…

  •  NAR reports: home sales are up 2.7% over last year, nationwide.

  • Hudson Gateway MLS states: Home sales locally are up 12.5% over last year.

NAR reports: The median sales price is up 5.8% over last year. National median sales price is $252,800 nationwide.

Hudson Gateway MLS states: Median sales price is $400,000 (up 3.9% from last year)

Inventory locally is dropping faster than national averages, while local homes sales have increased above national averages. With local average sales prices lagging the national averages it makes this a great time to buy.

NAR reports reflect nationwide activity. HGMLS reports reflect our local market.
