Ready to add your house to the real estate market? The home photos that are taken can make or break a homebuyer's first impression of your residence. As your realtor, I hire a professional photographer to take the photos because it is so important. For example, if your home listing includes photos that show off the true beauty of your house, buyers may want to check it out in person. But if the photos make your house look small and cluttered, a buyer may shy away from wanting to see your home. Don't let bad photos affect the ability to sell your home. Here are 3 tips to help you get ready for that photo shoot.
1. Clean your home from top to bottom, inside and out. Mop floors, wash windows, wipe down walls and ceilings. Also don't forget to mow the lawn or rake the leaves.
2. Declutter as much as possible. Too much clutter can make your house appear tiny, and sometimes with not enough storage.
