MOJO LOUNGE COMING SOON TO NYACK

Some may think that with all the bars in Nyack that the last thing we need is another bar opening.  However, the new MoJo Restaurant and Lounge opening soon in Nyack promises to be very different and could be what Nyack has been missing.  

I stopped by yesterday to check out the inside of the new MoJo Restaurant and Lounge and I was treated to an amazing tour of what will probably be Nyack's best night spot.  I was blown away by what the owner, Josh Lungen, is putting together.  He is creating a gorgeous, sophisticated, elegant supper club that will surely appeal to the...um, um...mature crowd.  Being in my 40's, I find that most of the night spots in Nyack are filled with a younger audience....leaving me and many of my contemporaries feeling a little out of place.

Josh plans on making MoJo Lounge for those 25 and older, and plans on shutting the doors at 1am.  That's right...if you're not inside by 1am, you need to go elsewhere.  He is not looking to be the place to end up after you've had a few.  He wants to appeal to a crowd that want's high end food, elegant atmosphere, and top notch service.

He's really investing into the state of the art technology and decor.  He and his partner, Monique, are teaming up to install the newest and best the restaurant industry has to offer.  Some of these features include an amazing ice rail system on all the bars and tables that will actually create snow and keep those cold drinks nice and frosty.  Also, he will have 28 beers on tap with stylish LED lit taps that will keep your beer only 1 degree above freezing.  The menu will be Tapas and will be about quality over quantity.  Your head won't be spinning trying to decide what to eat.  He will offer 30 carefully chosen tapas items elegantly displayed.  

And for you sports fans.....wow...I counted 20 high end Samsung new technology Plasmas.  Everywhere you look will be something to watch.  Maybe they'll even let me watch my Mets on one of them.

And if you want to have a private party, he will have a very cool upstairs VIP area with chic leather couches for true comfortable lounging.

With over 4000 Square Feet, wood floors, high ceilings, brick walls, dramatic lighting, multiple bars made from exotic wood, state of the art sound system, custom colored back lighting, banks of comfy leather seating, moveable bar tables, 12 tons of mini-split ac units to cool everyone off, a small stage for live music, and huge front windows that open up to the street, the MoJo Lounge will be the new place to be.

Josh brings 20 years of restaurant experience with him into this Nyack project.  He's learned a lot over the years and plans on applying all his wisdom into making MoJo Restaurant and Lounge the best that Nyack will have to offer. 

And how about that cool name?  Monique and Josh....MoJo!  Let's hope that he brings some new magic into this town.  The Mojo Lounge is located in the heart of Nyack at 100 Main Street.
