Another storm at Nyacks door
Here we go again! Another storm at our door...or should I say at our shore? Just a few days after Rockland County was declared a disaster area, we are bracing for another storm...this time with SNOW! And many of us just got our power back on in the Nyacks, Piermont, and me, here in Chestnut Ridge! Thank God!....and how about all those utility guys from all over the country! KUDOs to you all. The gentlemen who got my electricity up and running drove all the way from California to help us out! Heros in my opinion! I, for one, am truly grateful for them and offer my thanks to Orange & Rockland, Cablevision (so I could watch the election returns) and power people all over the area who offered support and help. Let's just hope this next storm is much less memorable!
Now, what do I cook tomorrow when I'm shut in? I've cooked everything in my freezer from pasta with chicken, chicken soup, grilled chicken, lamb chops, beef bourguignon, osso bucco, and boiled shrimp! I ate better than I have in months! I guess I'll start eating out of the pantry now...this should be interesting. It's all good. I just need to pick up a carton of milk for my coffee and I'll be set.
