I have been a resident of Tappan for forty years, and still live in the 1860 Italianate Victorian house my wife Jean and I bought all those years ago. I have always been active in the community, including being chairperson of two space utilization committees for the South Orangetown school board, chairman of the Washington – Carleton Bicentennial Commission, and two term president of the Tappantown Historical Society. Currently, I am chairman of the Orangetown Historic Areas Board of Review, and president of the Tappan Library board of directors. I also enjoy my membership in the Piermont Rowing Club, which allows me to get out on the Hudson River in the early morning. I became a realtor after a thirty five year career as a teacher in New York City, and truly enjoy working with people and assisting them with their real estate needs in Rockland County.
